Reservations Consultant - Somerset West
Description:
International Sales Office for a tour operator is seeking a Reservations Consultant.

Duties include:

  • Dealing directly with international clients & agents over email and telephonically
  • Planning and designing itineraries, combining appropriate lodges and destinations
  • Managing the reservations process for bookings until completion of travel
  • Maximum 24 hours turn around time on all enquiries
  • Saturday duty (on a rotation basis)


Skills/Requirements:
Knowledge required:

  • A good knowledge of the destinations South Africa or Namibia would be a plus
  • Understanding of tour operating through study or work experience and general reservations procedures.
Skills required:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Have a good telephone manner and excellent communication skills
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and be able to multi- task
  • The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, have attention to detail, must be accurate, customer focused, excellent team player, committed, hard working and eager to learn.
System skills required include:

  • Computer literate with experience in Word, Excel and E- Mail Program (Outlook or Thunderbird)
  • Understanding of Travel Quoting
  • Working experience in E-res.

Previous work experience required:

  • Minimum of two year's previous tour consulting experience required
