Description:
Boutique Hotel seeks presentable, reliable and well-spoken Junior Receptionist/Junior Duty Manager to start 2nd May. Matric Certificate, Hospitality Qualification and previous experience within a hotel is needed. Computer literate Ms Office, Seeking reliable, motivated, organised team player, who has an cheerful and outgoing personality.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • To receive reservations for accommodation from clients, either in person or by telephone, or email
  • To take guests' details and allocate their rooms
  • To inform guests about the hotel's facilities, policies and procedures
  • To provide tourist information to guests
  • To deal with enquiries and requests from guests
  • To take messages for guests
  • To calculate guests' bills and issue receipts upon payment
  • Must be able to cashier duties.
  • Follow policies and procedures with guests and hotel.
  • To perform general secretarial duties, such as preparing correspondence and attending to the switchboard.
  • To ensure safe conditions for all personnel and guests.
  • To ensure that all maintenance requirements are reported to the security control book, recorded daily and followed up.
  • To update and maintain the reservation system on a daily basis.
  • To operate and utilise the reservation system to its full capacity
  • Ensure a fast and efficient service to the guests.
  • To ensure that customer relations are kept to a high standard and that all complaints are dealt with immediately and in a manner satisfactory to the customer and are immediately reported to management.

Must be able to multi-task, take initiative, have strong all round skills, be willing and able to step into various roles when required - a self-starter who is happy to work shifts/weekends as per hotel regulations. Must have own transport to and from work.
