Operations Manager / Assistant Hospitality Manager - Zululand
Description:
The Operations Manager position on this reserve requires a highly motivated person who is physically fit and emotionally and mentally strong. The position forms the backbone to the Hospitality team and gives them the tools they need to perform their tasks. This person will also stand in for the Hospitality Manager during off days or annual leave.

One of the main requirements for this position is people skills, and ordering people around like servants doesn't fit the bill. You'll be so busy dealing with guests, answering phones, acquiring quotes, filing paperwork, following up on orders, training new employees, checking the guest areas and covering shifts when you're shorthanded, you won't have time to sit back and relax while telling other people what to do,

  • To support Duty Managers and Team Leaders.
  • Monitoring and analysing levels of service to check it's effective, and working out a strategy for improving if necessary.
  • Managing day-to-day activities
  • Analysing feedback reports and taking appropriate action (Both positive or corrective)
  • Reading HOD reports and writing reports to Top Management
  • Liaising with other team members, including interacting with junior and senior staff of different departments of the organization,
  • Presenting findings to Top management
  • Training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance.
  • Planning and controlling change.
  • Managing quality assurance programmes.
  • Researching new suppliers and alternative methods of efficiency.
  • Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost.
  • Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout.
  • Keeping an eye on maintenance issues and scheduling deep maintenance
  • Conduct refurbishments
  • Perform quality controls and monitor service levels
  • Cater to guests' or personnel's concerns


Skills/Requirements:

  • PDP and Code EB drivers licence
  • Wilderness First Aid Level 2
  • Emotionally and mentally strong

  • Knowledge of LHW products and service levels
  • Ability to implement a 5-star hospitality service

  • Organized and able to stay Focussed
  • Willing to Recruite and train
  • Teaching and transfer of skills.
